Monkey Man LEAKED Online: Dev Patel-Sobhita Dhulipala’s Controversial Film Available On Torrent Platforms, Amid Delay In Release In India
Ever since Dev Patel announced his film Monkey Man, Indian fans have been eagerly waiting to enjoy it on the big screens. However, over the past few days, the movie has been stuck with the Censor Board of India leaving the fans brokenhearted. Well, it seems like the impatient audience has resorted to watching the pirated copies of the movie, which has gone viral on the internet, amid multiple delays regarding the release of the film in theatres. Not only is the Indian audience watching the pirated version of the film but they are also reviewing it. 

As reported by the Free Press Journal, the Dev Patel and Shobita Dhulipala starrer has been stuck with the Censor Board of India for quite some time now. According to the reports, the CBFC has been skeptical about releasing the film in India because they fear it might hurt the religious sentiments of the Indians as well as the “excessive violence” portrayed in the film. They are also unsure about releasing the film in India, ahead of the undergoing Lok Sabha Elections as the movie is inspired by the legend of Lord Hanuman and is laced with political themes. The media publication reports that the fans have found a way to watch the film in India. The torrent link of the film’s pirated version is being circulated online, despite the makers of the show urging the fans to curb piracy. A copy of Monkey Man is being circulated online by the netizens. If reports are to be believed, this will certainly cause a dent in the movie’s box-office collection if and when it releases in India. It is to be noted that Monkey Man premiered in the US, UK, Canada, and Ireland on April 5. The film was supposed to be released in India through the OTT platform Netflix, however, they backed out last minute due to its controversial setting.
